Founded in 2016, Superior Projects is a family-owned construction management company dedicated to delivering high-quality commercial, hotel, and multi-family building projects.
Headquartered in Steinbach, Manitoba, we pride ourself on our client-focused approach to construction. From the initial consultation to project completion, our team is focused on our client’s objectives.

Evan founded Superior Projects after transitioning from mechanical engineering to contracting through an invitation from his father, Bob, to work on an apartment renovation. Superior Projects officially incorporated following a construction fire at the Super 8 on Fermor to meet insurance requirements.
Despite facing numerous challenges with insurance claims, personnel, and projects—which we view as learning opportunities rather than mistakes—our company has consistently improved through the wisdom of exceptional mentors. Rather than focusing explicitly on growth, we’ve prioritized helping partners and customers, naturally resulting in an expanding client base and team while maintaining our core mission of bringing customers and team members together toward common goals.

A Brief History
1984
Schinkel Properties started by Bob Schinkel as a residential rental company.
2001
Schinkel Properties started the construction of Steinbach Days Inn.
2015
Super 8 in Winnipeg burns down, launching the start of Superior Projects.
2020
Our team of Evan, 1 site supervisor, and 1 accountant grows to include 2 more site supers and 2 project managers.
2022
Peavey Mart in Steinbach is our first pre-engineered steel building. This was our first project of this size and type.
2023
We grow to include our first project administrator, estimator, executive assistant and pre-construction manager.
2023
We start construction on our first out of province project, and start taking on hotel contracts from other developers in addition to Schinkel Properties.
2025
We completed construction on our new joined office with Schinkel Properties and moved in during the spring of 2025.
